Children have the hearts
And dreams to save the world
We must nurture their spirit
And not destroy or deter their will
The sickness and sadness we
Are infected with is
More apparent to them
If only for a moment
We could forget our selfish
Thoughtless ways and do
For children what they do for us
Even in the smallest way
They make us smile
They make us cry
Remember
Children make us happy
They are pure of heart
And pure of mind
We are not here to destroy that
We are here to help them
Because they will help us
